It’s our favourite time of year (again!)
The Silves Medieval Fair is up and running .. and of course we were there as soon as it opened with our cameras for you.
We have blogged about this many times before, and to be honest the format and content is pretty much the same as in previous years, so if you want to know more about the nuts and bolts of it all, just use the Search facility on the right hand side of the page, type in Silves and you will find all of our previous posts.
The only slight change (and warning!) is that the usual ticket booths that line the waterfront before you reach the entrances to the Fair are not there this year (it’s just an information booth) so you can only buy your tickets below the entrances to the event (there are several as it depends which direction you are coming in from) .. and the queues to buy tickets when we left last night at about 9.30pm were massive .. so get there early if you can!)
We thought this year we would just let you enjoy lots of photographs from the event for this blog post – with thanks to all of the various actors, groups, musicians, stallholders, and staff that are always so welcoming and willing to be photographed – thank you!
There is a further gallery of even more photographs at the end of this post too – hope you enjoy them all.
The Silves Medieval Fair runs until Sunday 20th August from 6pm each day:

Thank you for viewing! If you are pictured in any of the photographs and would like a free copy e-mailed to you, please let us know by e-mailing dave@davesheldrakephotography.com
We’ll be back again this week so expect more shots soon.
