New ‘Pop Up’ Gallery opens exclusively for Easter weekend – introducing and showcasing an exciting and vibrant mix of 10 artists and artisan crafters who will be exhibiting together under a brand new Algarve ‘Pop Up Art’ venture.

We have been staging and promoting our own pop-up exhibitions since we moved to live and work in the Algarve five years ago; ‘Algarve Pop Up Art’ is a new concept for the Algarve, creating exclusive ‘pop up’ events and exhibitions showcasing hand-selected and unique art, crafts, photography and gifts for the discerning buyer.

We have learnt so much through our own experience of setting up and running our own art and photography exhibitions in venues across the Algarve, and we wanted to be able to expand that programme to include other artists and artisan crafts. We have spoken to many artists who were keen to start exhibiting but did not know how to begin or how set up and promote an event; and we have discovered so many wonderfully gifted and talented artists out here with amazing work that we cannot wait to share with a wider audience. The natural next step was to create our own ‘Pop Up Art’ venture, and our aim is to organise and host a series of new and exclusive events to be held across the Algarve.”

We are delighted that our first event is going to be held in the welcoming and spacious Holiday Inn Algarve hotel in Armação de Pêra during Easter weekend from Friday 14th – Sunday 16th April 2017. The event will be open from 10am – 5pm each day.

We are very excited to be able to individually invite and work with a carefully selected range of talented and original Algarve-based artists from a wide range of different creative disciplines – the first ‘Pop Up Art’ event includes original art, including gentle watercolours, vibrant acrylics and bold oil paintings, photography, jewellery, ceramics and pottery, fabrics and textiles, hand-crafted gifts and art objects, and also natural organic beauty products – all beautifully displayed and reasonably priced.

The motto of the ‘Algarve Pop Up Art’ project is taken from our own mantra since we moved to the Algarve, which is to provide “Affordable Art for All to Enjoy” and this ‘Pop Up’ Gallery promises to be a bright and enjoyable event, with a wide range of well-priced original work for sale. You can find examples of work from each of the 10 artists in the gallery at the end of this article.
